Essentials and Distinctives (Part 2)

This month we will begin with the essentials and address the first question, "What is a Christian?" (a true Christian, biblical Christian). The first essential ingredient of true Christianity is regeneration, the new birth. A Christian is someone who has been born of God's Spirit. Do you know what that means? [READ MORE]

Dear Timothy

Edited by Thomas K. Ascol

"Written with the conscientious evangelical pastor in mind, this is an excellent resource for new ministers. Here are helpful letters concerning the multiple tasks demanded of the pastor, whether in the home, in the study, or behind the pulpit. Each letter has been written by an experienced pastor with a hot heart and a keen mind, and each letter ends with a list of suggested resources on that particular subject. I only wish such wise counsel had been available in written form during my tumultuous first pastorate!"

Dr. Malcolm B. Yarnell, III
Assistant Dean for Theological Studies
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, TX

Ministry Projects

Below are two emails we have received recently requesting resources for ministry. One is from a pastor who serves in India and South Asia. The other is from a pastor in New Zealand who also ministers in India and Sri Lanka. We receive requests like these frequently and it is our desire to help as we are able. Please read these emails and pray for these ministries. If you would like to give toward one of these special projects (or ones like it), please designate your gift for "overseas ministry projects." Click here for information on how to give to Founders Ministries.

Dear Brother in Christ,

Greetings in the Lord from India.
We trust this email finds you all well and greatly encouraged in the ministries which God has given you. Very recently I was searching the net for Reformed resources for our resource centre, I came across to your website. We are known as Know the Truth committed to uphold and spread the Reformed doctrine in Indian Subcontinent and South Asia. We have a small library and resource centre of books, tapes, CD's and videos for Pastors and Christian workers here in South Asia, for those can't afford to get sound doctrinal materials. If it possible for you, we would appreciate if you kindly consider contributing your resources to our resource centre.

With warmest Christian greetings and all good wishes

In His Grace,

Jyoti Chakravarty

Dear Founders Press,

I am presently on a 4 month study leave after 21 years in the ministry here and among the books I'm reading have very much enjoyed your Dear Timothy. I am not able to get 5 copies I want for some of my men here from Koorong Books/Australia. Would you be able to airmail me these 5 copies?

For the past 12 Years I have been going to India and Sri Lanka and in each of these countries I have a group of men who meet with me. Every year I give them each a copy of three books which we then use for our studies and discussion. Would you be interested in helping me by gifting 65 copies of Dear Timothy for this purpose? I am the pastor of the North Shore Baptist Refomed Church in New Zealand.

With sincere thanks,

Stephen Turner
