Friday is for Photos, August 11, 2006

One of the joys of raising children is the opportunity to see the world in fresh ways through their eyes. While helping her mom cut roses recently in our back yard, my nine year old daughter, Hannah, discovered this little frog doing his best to hide. This is a photo that she took of the scene. [Edit: a little touch up in photoshop by a friend made the background better]

My daughter would have loved that. Very cute.
What a beautiful photo. Thanks for sharing it. It reminds me of a photo our 18 year old son took of a tree frog he raised from tadpole-hood. This son was adopted from Russia at the age of 13 and his perspective on life was quite bleak at that point, since he had been one of the "bad boys" at the orphanage. Shortly after bringing him home, we discovered his artistic abilities, though. Now, that dangerous young man regularly shows a much more sensitive side through his nature photos. God's grace is indeed awesome.
Yeah, Tom is back with his Friday photo! We missed you over the past couple of weeks! Glad to see you back.
That's so cute.
Three cheers for Hannah!
Beautiful picture!
Hooray for Hannah!
It amazes me what children are easily able to find and see that I routinely miss.
