Out of Pocket for awhile

I plan to start the new year in Owensboro, Kentucky teaching a J-term for the Midwest Center for Theological Studies. You can read what I have previously written about MCTS to get my take on this new school. It is an honor to be associated with the men who are behind its beginning. Beginning Tuesday, I am scheduled to teach an Introduction to Pastoral Theology. If the Lord brings this to mind, please pray that I will be useful to those who participate in the class.

Because of a full schedule, I don't anticipate posting any new blog articles until next week. May your new year begin with fresh reminders of God's great grace in Jesus Christ.

Thanks for the warning.

This will give us a little time to seek a semi-worthy substitute for our reading pleasure.

Happy new year to my fellow readers!

I would sure be interested in reading the course notes. Would it be possible?

While Tom is out of pocket I thought I'd post this for anyone that wasn't aware. The following information concerning AL MOHLER was sent out via e-mail Friday afternoon, Jan. 5th, through our church:

Over the past 36 hours Dr. Mohler has suffered from unrelenting pain. This unusual dregree of pain signaled concern for the attending physicians and prompted additional tests this afternoon. In the past hour these tests have revealed that Dr. Mohler is suffering from pulmonary emboli in both lungs. His condition is quite serious and he has been moved to the intensive care unit of Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, KY for immediate treatment. Please make this a matter of urgent prayer.

Rick:

I think the Midwest Center for Theological Studies plans to make videos of the lectures available sometime soon. Check their website.

Bill:

Thanks for alerting folks to pray for Dr. Mohler. I have heard that the doctors are much more encouraged as of Sunday, (Jan 7) than they were the previous 48 hours. We must keep praying for our brother.
