Weltanschauung Rap

I got this from Timmy Brister's blog. It is great! Dr. Orrick teaches at Boyce College in Louisville, KY. Founders Press has published his very helpful Baptist Catechism set to music. Needless to say, Dr. Orrick is a very talented man.

Funny. I wish some of my professors would have done something like that in one of my classes.

Not to be nit-picky, but I have to take the good Doctor to task on his German. It's pronounced "Velt-An-Shaow-Ungk," not "Velt-an-shwang."

'Not to be nit-picky'?

Dude, he's rapping

...about theology

...and using German

but then again, if I was smart enough to notice that little pronunciation error, I'd probably flaunt it too :0)

(...still laughing)

That was really quite good. I expect his students will remember this lesson for a long time to come.

I think this was certainly better than the attempt at rapping by DC Talk in the late 80's. (Can anyone say "Heaven-bound"?)

Let me say being one of Dr. Orrick’s students and family friend, That is just the top of the iceberg my friends! I have seen this rap two times in person, and that rap doesn’t begin to showcase Dr Orrick’s talents. One of the most brilliant and amazing profs I can honestly say I have ever had. Props to Dr. O! and for the mispronunciation...he was born in Kentucky, worked in West Virginia and now again lives in Kentucky, thats the best German you will get this side of the Mason-Dixon Line!

As one of Dr. Orrick's former students, let me just say rap on!

Seriously, one of the best minds I've ever had the privilege to be around.

I had the pleasure of learning from Dr. Orrick at Boyce College. The man is great! He makes you think biblically about everything. It was a true benefit to sit under his teaching.

I got to see this performed live by Dr. Orrick’s in class and is one of the best memories of being at Boyce.
