It is rare today to see Bible exposition, sound doctrine, contemporary praise music, and a passionate call to follow the Lord Jesus Christ at a youth camp—but such is the case at the Saved by Faith Youth Challenge. My only regret in attending and participating in SBFYC 2006 was that I didn’t have this kind of event to go to when I was younger! This camp is a must for all young men and women who want to live radically for Jesus. I highly commend Bill Ascol and his entire team to you and your church. For over two decades the SBFYC has stayed its course in challenging young people to lives of truth, purity, worship and mission. Never have I been disappointed in the content of the messages, the emphasis of the seminars, or the genuine concern for the lives of the young people. This camp achieves a beautiful integration of biblical truth, godly fellowship, energetic fun, and mission challenge. Some of my best memories with my children and students in our church have come at the various SBFYC we've attended together. The name change a few years ago to the "youth challenge" is fitting; that's what the conference does. It challenges students to take seriously the demands of the gospel, and gives them solid content to take home for living as disciples. Consistently, this has been the finest youth conference that I've been part of in over three decades in ministry. Dr. Phil Newton, Senior Pastor South Woods Baptist Church, Memphis, TN |
